Also, here’s a beer that has gone too far into the rabbit’s ass for me

The trick is to braise the rabbit’s ass. Then it’s delicious.

I like my hops and all, but I’m pretty turned off of this ‘unfiltered double ipa’ trend. I can only drink so much liquid hops. I don’t like my orange juice with lots of pulp, either. I used to think Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was a strong beer - and I feel like, when I first started drinking a lot of it, back in 2001, it WAS pretty strong, at least in terms of kind of a hoppy bite to it. Compared to what you posted above, it’s basically a Bud Light.

yep - I know it’s super polarizing and the hazy NE style IPAs just aren’t for everybody, but I love them right now . 3 Magnets makes a hazy double IPA that is just spectacular - super floral, slightly fruity but not too sweet, smooth mouth feel, light carbonation ... yummy. And for everybody that like the clear, clean non-hazy IPAs the Brut/Champagne style is just starting to hit wide spread. Had one of those from Matchless - super carbonated but had a strong mosaic hop which made it kinda funky, not bad, just a little weird.

Yeah, I’m into it as well. Richmond has a few breweries that make them frequently. Stone is one of them, and The Veil (whose head brewer came from New England and still frequently collaborates with breweries up there) is a popular one too.

Sierra Nevada used to be a beer I’d treat myself with. I’m into the IPA, IIPA, Double IPA thing but, this a little too much for me. That being said you only need 2 or 3 to get a good buzz.

Yeah, I can’t say I’m not into it... I do buy them from time to time. I’m just getting pretty sick of each brewery trying to out-hop the last.
Possibly related to this, is that I may have a minor hop allergy. I often sneeze and get congested after drinking these IIPA types. Who knows?
